Paper jam in Cuba

Kuba: Auto Straße Palmen Gebäude

The Caribbean island of Cuba has problems getting enough newsprint. Communist newspapers will be halved in size or will not appear on certain days. The reason is the deep economic crisis in Venezuela - the close economic ally and the largest paper supplier of Cuba. In 2014, only 27% of the population in Cuba had access to the Internet, even though this was restricted to e-mail services and government websites. It means the state propaganda reaches the part of the population not as good as before. Nature does not like emptiness. Less propaganda makes more room for the opinion of the Cubans. Maybe this paper crisis - if it get worse, will turn out to be a self-propagated rift in the Communist wall?
