Medium-sized and double-weight chess pieces with felt base and center of gravity insert in the foot.
Figures hand-carved from hard boxwood.
The deep impenetrable blackness of the figures is achieved in an ancient process. They are blackened by shellac before the polishing process, i.e. ebonized.
