The Age of the Samurai...
Welcome to Kangi Chess Pieces, the ultimate chess experience. Discover the timeless beauty of Japanese samurai design with our handcrafted chess set made of Padauk and Boxwood.
Our chess pieces are handmade by skilled craftsmen in India, the birthplace of chess. Each piece is equipped with felt bases and weighted with a triple-weighted system in the base to ensure comfortable weight and balance.
Padauk is a tropical hardwood originally from Africa. When freshly cut, the wood has a light orange-red color, but over time, it changes to a deep reddish-brown tone. This gives Padauk wood a unique aesthetic appeal and a touch of luxury for the product user. Because of its unique color, Padauk wood is also known as "African Coralwood." It is one of the most colorful and technically superior woods in Africa.
The light pieces are made of Boxwood, which is known for its hardness and durability.
The set includes 34 chess pieces, including an extra red and white queen to ensure a complete chess game. Please note that the set does not include a chessboard.
You can see the sizes of each individual piece in the last image of our gallery. With a weight of approximately 1550g, this chess set is a true luxury.
