The set includes 34 chess pieces, including an additional black and white queen for a complete set. Each piece features a felt base and a weighted core in the foot, and is triple-weighted.
The "Big Foot" pieces with extra-wide bases ensure that the pieces stand firm and stable on the chessboard. The pieces are crafted from hard Boxwood and ebonized using an ancient process with shellac to achieve a deep, impenetrable blackness.
